1. During monsoon season, in order to help prevent excessive humidity in your home it is often a good idea utilize your exhaust fans (i.e. laundry room, utility room, bathrooms, kitchen, etc). If your home does not have any exhaust fans consider getting them installed.
  2. Minimize the amount of time that your doors and windows are open. This will prevent your unit from running for longer periods of time.
  3. During the hottest summer months be sure to utilize window coverings to block out harsh sunlight and heat so your system doesn’t have to work as hard.
  4. Set your thermostat as high as comfort will permit, and if possible, use a programmable thermostat.
  5. If you have hot or cold spots in your home or office, this can oftentimes be eliminated by operating your system in the continuous fan mode (program your thermostat to the “ON” position). Leaving the fan on continuously often creates better air circulation and air filtration.
